Witney Community Primary School Nursery - February 2020
As most of you will know we have had a private preschool running on our school site for a few years now. Recently, Carrie, the owner, has made the decision not to continue as a pre-school after the end of this academic year (2019-20). We would like to thank Carrie and her team for the hugely positive contribution to the lives of the children who attended the preschool. We have loved having the pre-school on site.
Following the news, we have been made aware that there are a limited number of childcare places available in West Oxfordshire. To support the needs of the community and continue provision for young children, we are delighted to confirm that as a school we wish to provide nursery provision in the future.
The new nursery will be called Witney Community Primary School Nursery and will open from September 2020 for 3 to 5 year olds. In addition, we have applied for an extension to our registration to also take 2 year olds. Provision will be led and developed by the school in conjunction with existing and new Early Years practitioners. The provision will be flexible, open to all the community from 8-5pm during school terms.

We Are Supporting Children’s Mental Health Week 2020
The week beginning the 3rd February is Mental Health Week. The theme of this year’s Children's Mental Health Week is 'Find your Brave'. Place2Be describes this as: 'Life often throws challenges our way. Bravery isn’t about coping alone or holding things in. It's about finding positive ways to deal with things that might be difficult, overcoming physical and mental challenges and looking after yourself.' You can find out more here.
